honestly, after reading the steam reviews for "Velvet Bite: softly, with teeth", I do hope this otome visual novel is some sort of upgrade after that !!
dont get me wrong, i love you guys' work ! the art is beautiful, and the story on the demo for Velvet Bite def got me hooked.. however, i read a lot of comments saying that even tho that game claimed to be an otome, there was barely any romance in it nor did the characters have any development..
regardless, im very excited for this game !! thank you for your hard work <3
After launching Velvet Bite: Softly, with Teeth, we brought in professional romance writers and editors as external advisors for regular feedback.
Early 2025 our narrative design was… pretty messy 😳 But after taking all the feedback and we kept updating, updating, updating... and from the second half onward our advisors started telling us it was actually really fun!
We wrote the full NEVERLANDER script back in 2024, but we’re planning to rework it from the beginning. Timing’s still TBD, but we really want to share this project someday!

Sooo beautiful~ The background art looks like Ghibli Studios to me, the quality is so good! I love your art style, the characters are adorable. I look forward to the full version of the game.
I wish the captain was a bit more gruff looking, considering he's a pirate and all... I'm not a fan of otome games where every guy looks thin and spotless. Otherwise it looks really well made and beautiful.
lol, then don't play. It looks like our MC is going to be at least a tween or young teenager considering the source material of Neverland. It'd be strange to have a young person be able to get with a gruff, 30+ y/o man.
Oh! I think you may have misunderstood me. I never said I wanted a particular age for the characters, I just wish that the Captain character looked more like a pirate. You know like scars, maybe some stubble from being on the sea for a long time, maybe tanned or freckled skin from being in the sun all day. It's fine if you like how he is right now, I just personally would like some more variation with the faces and body types. Still love the style and will be playing the game regardless <3
